![]() ![]() Guess how the scientists find the kids? They freaking make a little girl back at the facility with crazy telekinesis powers to basically turn one of the kids in the group into a giant light beam. Anyways, “Reunion” continues the story of the five children, but they are unfortunately tracked down by the scientists back at the facility they were kept. I usually listen to this song on a run or during a workout, it’s definitely a power song. The second video in the trilogy would be for the song, “Reunion”, another electronic upbeat song with lots (and I mean lots) of drum beats thrown in. Watch the first video here (feel free to jam out too…and get sucked into the story line). The video ends with the five kids standing next to each other, hand in hand with creepy glowing eyes…I have no clue, but it’s still sweet. There’s a scene where they start flipping cars with their minds for fun…I’m a nerd I realize….but that’s kick ass. I love it, and the music ties in perfectly. The kid eventually gathers up a gang of other kids to break out of the institution they’re in. The video opens up with a kid that seems to have magical powers, rebel against the “scientists” holding him for experiments. The music videos all tie together, and honestly leave you saying, “what the hell did I just watch?” The first of the “Midnight City” trilogy of videos starts with none other than, “Midnight City”. ![]() ![]() The main reason I wanted to write this article is to let you all know about this awesome music video project the band actually did with three songs off of the album itself. “Midnight City” comes off of the french electronic group’s sixth studio album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming which was released in 2011. “Switch On” was among the Top 5 trending topics on Twitter worldwide shortly after the album hit multiple digital platforms on Monday. As stated before, I have an obsession with the song “Midnight City” by M83…a song filled with none other than an amazing saxophone solo along with electronic beats that you can recognize almost anywhere.
